About The Author


Eldrick Clayton.

Eldrick Clayton was born in the South and raised in Chicago. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and became a paratrooper. He served for 4 years, including 14 months in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. After returning home, he became a Chicago Police Officer and served 37 years within the patrol division, retiring as a Lieutenant.

In addition to his full time career in Law Enforcement, he was also a substitute teacher at various public schools from 1st through 12th grade. After receiving his M.S., he taught college level law enforcement classes in Indiana, Illinois as well as in Nevada where he now resides with his wife. He has two grown children and a lovely granddaughter. He thoroughly enjoys his retirement and is looking forward to more grandchildren.
